Many of America’s large cities boast the strictest gun control laws in the country - and yet gun violence in Chicago, New York, and Philadelphia has skyrocketed in 2020. Chicago has already counted 600 homicides in the first nine months of 2020, with shootings in the double-digits occurring within 24 hour periods. Just this week, 14 people were shot in one day, including a 10-year old girl.
